But, I wanted you to see their cute faces (and the fact that we now have green grass to sit on) so I am sharing their images anyway. See you next week!
As a pet photographer who loves to photograph dogs outside, I have asked myself (along with the many who make their home in Toronto) many times in the last few weeks, “Will this cold weather never end?” And again on Monday, this was the basis of my conversation with each of these furry faces during the brief moments that we could stand being out in the elements. I promised them that the nicer weather (and a forever home!) were just around the corner if they just held on a little longer. To ensure that my promises were not in vain, please share their images far and wide so that they have as good an opportunity as possible to be seen by the special person looking to bring them home. I, and each of them, thank you!
I’ve never photographed as many puppies in one week as I did during my time on Monday. Kaya and Duncan are both only about 15 weeks old, and Morty is still a young boy at 9 months old. On the other end of the spectrum is Clarence who is a lovely 9 year old guy. Along with their feline friends Thor, Amos, Luchio, Ameira and shy-girl Veronica, they have lots of love to give.

There is a camp going on at Toronto Animal Services this week and the dogs are having a blast. A number of youths are working with them and, through positive reinforcement, are teaching them basic commands like sit, stay, lie down…as you can imagine the dogs are just enjoying the attention and play time with so many energetic young people.
In the midst of all of this excitement, we took some adoption photos. These guys are all available (or will soon be after the camp concludes) at Toronto Animal Services – North. On Saturday, I had the chance to visit the All About Pets Show in Toronto. So many lovely furry faces…everything from pure bred, award-winning studs to rescue dogs, therapy dogs and e And, of course, tons of goodies to purchase for all of them!
This beautiful australian shepherd was a natural poser.
A pretty bichon…
The puppies are always the stars and this little bulldog boy was no exception. I wanted to pick him up and just cuddle him!
I love a cavalier king charles! This is Justin, who at 2.5 years old is already quite the award-winning boy!

All of this looking cute can be quite tiring. This guy just took a nap in the middle of an aisle…and everyone walked around him. It is good to be a dog!

Of course, there were lots of kitties, but most were in their pens waiting to be judged. This little ragdoll was absolutely gorgeous and very content to meet all of the people who came by.
Last, but certainly not least, there were a few little pigs. They can be trained like dogs to be housebroken, walk on a leash and are affectionate and loyal pets.
